They open like a large book and have 12 colorful perforated doors that are easily punched out to reveal a 2.5" Christmas or winter-themed cookie. Calendars begin on either December 13th if you want it to end on Christmas Eve or December 14th for a Christmas Day end date. New cookie designs each year! The Blue Village and Red Trees/Snow calendars have a generic Christmas theme, Santa's Workshop calendar has cookies matching that theme, and the Happy Holidays calendar contains winter-themed cookies.
